Responsible Gambling
at 2jbt — Play Safe, Stay in Control

Gambling is entertainment — and 2jbt is committed to keeping it that way. This page covers everything Pakistani users need to know about responsible play: self-exclusion tools, deposit and loss limits, warning signs of problem gambling and where to find support when it's needed.

If gambling is causing harm right now, contact your Operator's support team immediately and use the self-exclusion tool in your account.
18+

Adults Only — Strictly 18 or Above

The 2jbt Platform and all gambling services described herein are for adults only. You must be at least 18 years of age — or the higher minimum age required by the Operator or license jurisdiction — to access or use any gambling product. Underage gambling is illegal and causes harm. 2jbt does not condone or facilitate gambling by minors in any form. Please note that being 18+ does not automatically make online gambling lawful in Pakistan — Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act 1977 and other local regulations may apply. Understanding and complying with your local legal obligations is your sole responsibility.

What Responsible Gambling Actually Means

Responsible gambling means enjoying betting and casino games as a form of entertainment — with a clear understanding of the risks involved, a firm financial limit you've set in advance and a commitment to stopping when you reach it. It means never gambling with money you need for rent, food, bills or your family's needs.

For many Pakistani sports fans, cricket season — especially PSL and ICC tournaments — is a time of genuine excitement. Placing a small wager on your favourite team can add to that excitement. But the line between entertainment and compulsion can blur gradually, often without the person noticing. That's why having boundaries in place before you start is so important.

Responsible gambling is not about eliminating fun. It's about keeping the fun in control — so that a bad run of results in a T20 match or a live casino session doesn't translate into financial or personal harm that affects you, your family in Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad, or your daily life.

A useful mental check: Before you deposit, ask yourself — "If I lost this entire amount today, would it affect my ability to pay for essentials?" If the answer is yes, do not deposit. If the answer is no, you're gambling within your means.

2jbt actively promotes responsible gambling practices throughout all of our content. This isn't a legal disclaimer buried in fine print — it's a core value of the platform. We believe that informed players make safer decisions, and we work to provide Pakistani users with the information they need to keep gambling enjoyable and controlled.

The 2jbt Responsible Play Framework

Only Gamble What You Can Afford to Lose

Set a fixed gambling budget — in PKR — before every session. Treat it like a leisure expense, not an investment. When it's gone, the session is over.

Set Time Limits Before You Start

Decide how long a session will last before you open your account. Use phone timers or Operator session-time tools. Time awareness prevents sessions from running longer than intended.

Never Chase Losses

Chasing a loss with a bigger bet is the most common path from recreational gambling to problem gambling. Losses are a normal part of gambling — accept them and stop, rather than increasing stakes to recover.

Take Regular Breaks

Step away from the screen regularly. Fatigue and emotional states — like frustration after a PSL upset or overconfidence during a winning streak — both impair betting judgment.

Responsible Gambling Tools — How They Work

Regulated Operators provide a suite of responsible gambling tools accessible from within your account. Here's what each tool does and when to use it.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount — in PKR — that you are permitted to deposit within a defined period (daily, weekly or monthly). Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Lowering a deposit limit takes effect immediately; raising it typically requires a cooling-off period of 24–72 hours, depending on the Operator.

Loss Limits

A loss limit caps the total amount you can lose within a set time period. For example, setting a PKR 5,000 weekly loss limit means your net losses in that period cannot exceed that threshold — any further bets will be blocked until the limit resets. This is one of the most directly protective tools available.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum duration for any single gambling session. When the time is up, you will receive a notification and/or be logged out automatically. This prevents unintentionally long sessions, particularly during late-night cricket matches or extended live casino play.

Cooling-Off Periods

A cooling-off period temporarily suspends your ability to gamble for a defined duration — typically 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. You remain registered but cannot place bets or access casino games during the period. This is ideal when you feel you need a short break without committing to full self-exclusion.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is a formal request to be blocked from using an Operator's gambling services for a defined minimum period — typically 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. It is the strongest protective measure available. During self-exclusion, the Operator is obligated to close your account and refund any withdrawable balance. See Clause below for the full self-exclusion walkthrough.

Reality Checks

Reality check notifications are periodic pop-up messages that interrupt your session to display how long you have been playing and how much you have won or lost. They prompt you to make a conscious, informed decision about whether to continue — rather than continuing on autopilot.

How to access these tools: All of the above tools are available through the Responsible Gambling or Account Settings section of any regulated Operator's platform. If you cannot find the tools on your Operator's site, contact their support team directly — they are legally required to assist you in applying limits or initiating self-exclusion.

How to Self-Exclude — A Clear Walkthrough

Self-exclusion is a significant decision, but it is straightforward to do. Follow these steps to exclude yourself from an Operator's platform.

1
Log In to Your Account

Access your account on the Operator's platform. Self-exclusion must be initiated from within your registered account in most cases. Have your login credentials ready.

2
Navigate to Responsible Gambling Settings

Look for "Responsible Gambling", "Safer Gambling", "Account Limits" or "Player Protection" in your account menu. The exact label varies by Operator.

3
Select Self-Exclusion and Choose Your Period

Choose "Self-Exclude" from the options. Select your preferred exclusion period — 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years or permanent. Longer periods provide stronger protection.

4
Confirm Your Request

Follow the Operator's confirmation steps — this may involve re-entering your password, completing a verification check or confirming via email. This protects against accidental exclusions.

5
Receive Confirmation and Withdraw Any Balance

You should receive a confirmation email. The Operator should process any withdrawable balance to your registered payment method. Your account will be suspended for the exclusion period.

6
If You Cannot Access the Tool — Contact Support

If you cannot find the self-exclusion option, contact the Operator's support team directly via Live Chat or email. State clearly that you want to self-exclude. They are obligated to process your request.

Signs That Gambling May Be Becoming a Problem

Problem gambling develops gradually. Recognising the warning signs early gives you a much better chance of addressing it before it causes serious harm.

Seek help if you recognise any of these patterns in yourself or someone you know. These are not signs of weakness — problem gambling is a recognised condition that responds well to support and intervention.

  • Gambling with money set aside for essential expenses — rent, food, school fees, utility bills.
  • Increasing the size of bets to feel the same level of excitement as before.
  • Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when not gambling.
  • Repeatedly trying to "win back" money after losses, even after deciding to stop.
  • Lying to family members, friends or colleagues about how much time or money is spent gambling.
  • Borrowing money — or considering selling assets — to fund gambling activity.
  • Neglecting work, studies, family obligations or social relationships because of gambling.
  • Feeling that gambling is the only activity that provides relief from stress, anxiety or low mood.
  • Failed attempts to cut down or stop gambling despite repeated intentions to do so.
  • Continuing to gamble even when you know it is causing financial or relationship harm.

If you recognise three or more of the above signs, it is strongly recommended that you use self-exclusion immediately and reach out to a support resource. You do not need to wait until the situation becomes a crisis.

How 2jbt Supports Responsible Gambling

Responsible gambling is not a box-ticking exercise at 2jbt — it's embedded into how we build content, what we publish and how we guide Pakistani users through the platform.

Honest Bonus Descriptions

We describe wagering requirements, withdrawal restrictions and expiry conditions plainly — including PKR-denominated examples — so Pakistani users understand what they're actually signing up for before depositing. No inflated claims, no missing small print.

Age Verification Guidance

We actively explain what KYC and age verification procedures look like so users understand why Operators require ID documents. Verified accounts are safer accounts — verification protects both the player and the platform.

Embedded Harm Awareness

Responsible gambling messaging appears throughout 2jbt content — not just on this page. Articles covering PSL betting, ICC tournament markets and live casino guides all include reminders about limits, risks and safe play practices.

Clear Limit-Setting Guides

We publish step-by-step guides on how to use deposit limits, loss limits, session timers and cooling-off periods across common Operator platforms. Knowing how to set a limit before you need one is the most effective responsible gambling practice of all.

No Targeting of Vulnerable Users

2jbt does not use targeted advertising to promote gambling to users who have previously indicated problem gambling concerns. We do not publish content designed to encourage returning to gambling after a self-exclusion period.

Support Resource Signposting

Where credible, relevant responsible gambling support resources exist and are accurately described, we signpost them. Problem gambling support is available in Pakistan and through international organisations — seeking help is the right decision and a sign of strength, not weakness.

A Simple Self-Assessment

Answer these questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to two or more, we strongly recommend speaking to your Operator's support team or a problem gambling support service.

Q1

Have you ever gambled with money you needed for essential household expenses — rent, food, utility bills or school fees for your family?

Q2

Have you ever spent more time gambling than you originally planned, or gambled longer than you intended during a PSL match or live casino session?

Q3

Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling, but found yourself unable to do so despite wanting to?

Q4

Have you felt restless, irritable or anxious during periods when you could not access gambling platforms?

Q5

Have you kept the extent of your gambling activity — time spent or money spent — hidden from family members or close friends?

Q6

Have you placed larger bets than before in order to feel the same level of excitement or thrill from gambling?

Q7

Have you borrowed money or sold personal possessions to fund gambling, or considered doing so?

Q8

Has gambling negatively affected your work, studies, relationships, or your sense of wellbeing over the past 12 months?

Two or more "yes" answers indicate that gambling may be causing harm. Please contact your Operator's responsible gambling team immediately, apply a self-exclusion or deposit limit, and consider reaching out to a support organisation. You are not alone — problem gambling is a recognised, treatable condition.

Support Resources & Where to Turn

Problem gambling support is available. If gambling is negatively affecting your life, your finances or your relationships, seeking help is the most important thing you can do. The following types of support are available:

Through Your Operator

Every regulated gambling Operator is required to provide responsible gambling tools and a support team that can assist with self-exclusion, limit-setting and referrals to problem gambling support. This is the most direct first step — contact Live Chat support and state that you want to discuss responsible gambling options.

Behavioural Support

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the most effective evidence-based treatments for problem gambling. Trained counsellors and therapists in Pakistan — particularly in cities like Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad — can provide support. General mental health practitioners can also refer you to appropriate support services.

Peer Support

Gamblers Anonymous (GA) provides peer support through a 12-step programme. GA chapters operate in various countries and online meetings are accessible internationally, including for users in Pakistan. Speaking with others who have experienced the same challenges is often a powerful catalyst for change.

Family & Loved Ones

Problem gambling affects not just the individual but also families. If someone close to you — a family member in Rawalpindi or Faisalabad, for example — is showing signs of problem gambling, Gam-Anon provides support specifically for those affected by another person's gambling. Talking openly about it, without shame, is a meaningful first step.

Pakistan, Local Law & Online Gambling

2jbt does not provide legal advice. The following is informational context only and must not be construed as legal guidance. Users must seek independent legal advice on their own circumstances.

Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act 1977 and associated provincial regulations impose restrictions on gambling activities within Pakistan. The legal status of online gambling accessed via international platforms is a nuanced and evolving area. The Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the State Bank of Pakistan, and no provincial authority has authorised, licensed or endorsed online gambling. 2jbt makes no claim to the contrary.

Users accessing gambling platforms from Pakistan — whether in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar or elsewhere — do so entirely at their own legal risk. Understanding, assessing and complying with applicable local law is the sole responsibility of each individual user.

Important: 2jbt is an informational platform only. We do not accept deposits, process bets or operate gambling services. All gambling activity occurs on third-party Operator platforms under those Operators' licences and legal frameworks.
